Emily VanCamp

Emily Irene VanCamp is a Canadian actress who has been praised for her leading roles in a variety of television shows and also for her powerful acting in films. She is popular on both Canadian as well as American TV. Emily was first interested in acting when she saw her sibling Katie performing in a film. Once she had began to realize that acting was her love, she began to take acting lessons as well as attend auditions. The first commercials she auditioned for were however, she was eventually cast as a child actor on the Canadian TV horror series Are You Scared of Darkness? The show had one episode in which she did not speak. In the year she turned fifteen, Emily made her first big break when she became regular on the WB TV show Glory Days. Emily's talents caught Greg Berlanti's attention when the show was cancelled after only nine episodes. He subsequently cast Emily as a character on Everwood, his new TV show. Emily, who is also an artist and ballerina, was named by Teen magazine as one of the best actresses younger than 20. Maxim's Hot 100 for 2014 listed her at #51.
